Cane Creek Canyon @ Tuscumbia, AL Joint hike with Memphis

The hike will begin at the home place of Jim & Faye Lacefield. It weaves thru the forest crossing a creek or two; one of which you can hike to the bottom of the overlook to the creek. There is a great view of the canyon shortly beyond the bridge (after a steep climb). There will be spring flowers blooming throughout several areas along with a waterfall in one area. We will hike the canyon rim trail, boulder garden area, Cane Creek Narrows, the Blue Hole area along the hogback boulders and thru Devil’s Hollow. We will meet at Panera Bread in Jackson at 7:15 a.m. so that we may leave promptly at 7:30 a.m. This is a joint hike with the Memphis chapter. Please dress according to the weather and bring water, snacks and lunch. We will stop and eat dinner on the way back to Jackson.
