Keown Falls and Johns Mountain Loop

Tuesday, January 11 — Keown Falls and Johns Mountain Loop, 5-6 miles, moderate. This trail has spectacular views all along the way after the leaves have fallen. It features a waterfall, hopefully with water, and an overlook of the Armuchee Range in North Georgia. Part of the trail goes along the Pinhoti Trail. The trail is very wide in most places except near the falls. We will meet behind the Wendy’s at the East Ridge Exit off I-75, on the left just past the turnoff to Bass Pro Shop, at 8:30 am.
