Marietta’s Chilly Chili Hike – Sewanee

Saturday, January 25 – Marietta Poteet’s Annual Chilly Chili Hike. Sewanee. For the hike, meet at the Sewanee Gates at the Shakerag Trailhead at 10:00 am Central Time. We will hike Shakerag Hollow on the Sewanee Perimeter trail and return on the Beckwith Point trail. The hike is about 3.5 miles rated easy, but there is a steep downhill at the beginning of the hike and a very short uphill at Green’s View. After the hike, we will go to Marietta’s house in Clifftops. Marietta will have chili, brownies, wine, beer and soft drinks. Feel free to add a side if you wish. If you do not want to hike, meet at the house at 12:30 pm, but please let Marietta know. The home is in a gated community, and Marietta will have a gate code and directions for you.
