Wednesday, March 19th Middle Creek/Slave Falls BSF
The hiking group will travel 60 miles to the Big South Fork National River and Recreational Area to trek two hikes for a total of 8 miles. The group starts at the Sawmill Trailhead to hike the 5 mile moderate Middle Creek Nature Loop. Along the trail are numerous large rock houses and seasonal waterfalls as well as short climbs and descents. After eating lunch, there will be an easy 3 mile hike to Needle Arch and Slave Falls. Bring snacks, lunch and plenty of water to have along the trails. Hiking footwear and poles are recommended. Anyone interested in hiking is invited. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. We will depart from the Crossville Cracker Barrel at 7:30 a.m CST. Car pools will be formed and information about the hikes will be shared. Carpool fee is $5.00. The expected return time to Cracker Barrel is 4:00pm
