Natchez Trace Parkway, Garrison Creek to 1812 War Monument Trail

Moderate. 3.4 mile out and back. The trail begins at Garrison Creek (milepost 427.6) which is about 10 miles south of the Birdsong Hollow Bridge over highway 96. The trail takes you through old growth timber to a scenic overlook and then follows the ridgeline to the War of 1812 monument. For those wanting to hike additional mileage, we will stop at Timberland Park on the Parkway (milepost 437.2) just south of the Birdsong Hollow Bridge for another 2-3 miles.
