National Public Lands Day. Barfield Crescent Park. Come join us for trail maintenance at Barfield Park from 8:00 am until 11:00 am CDT. National Public Lands Day was established in 1994 and is held annually on the fourth Saturday in September. National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single day volunteer effort. Volunteering on this day is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends and enjoy the many benefits that come from connecting with nature.
