Paddle to Fancher Falls on Falling Water River

Paddle from Johnson Chapel Recreation Area.  About 5 miles round trip.  Located off US Hwy 70, 8.6 miles east of Smithville, on Johnson Chapel Road. Joint outing with the Murfreesboro Chapter, Sara Pollard, and the Upper Cumberland Chapter.  No vehicle shuttle is needed. Meet at 8:00 am CDT at Johnson Chapel Recreation Area.  Bring a lot of water and lunch.  Fancher Falls is formed by Taylor Creek thundering 60 to 80 feet into a secluded cove of Center Hill Lake.  The spray from the Falls’ 25 to 35 foot breadth will cool us.  After our paddle we can eat our lunch in the shaded picnic area along the water at Johnson Chapel Recreation Area.  Please register with Joan or Sara.
