Fall Getaway to Cumberland Gap

It will be Fall color season so motels will book up soon. PLEASE CALL (423) 869-3996, AND BOOK YOUR ROOM as instructed below. Fall Getaway to Cumberland Gap, TN Oct 27-29, 2023. There are numerous trails on either side of the KY/TN/VA line. The Furnace trailhead is in town. There are 4 restaurants in town, nineteen 19 is fabulous, there is also a breakfast/lunch/bakery, Italian and a health food restaurant. There is also a bar with entertainment on Friday night! Town is a 4 to 5 Block square, so everything is walking distance from the Cumberland Gap Inn (hotelcumberlandgap.net) where we will stay. Please call (423-869-3996) to reserve your room. I have blocked off 15 Rooms on Oct 27th -28th (checking out on the 29th) group rate of $69 plus tax per room per night. If you pay by cash, it is a flat rate of $69 per room per night but if you pay by card, it is $80.16 per room per night tax included. Use your credit card to hold the room then pay cash when you check in. The manager will let the staff know about our group (Plateau Chapter) and that you will be calling. Managers Note: Just so you know in order to get the group rate at least 8 out of 10 rooms must show up and our cancellation policy is minimum 48 hours (about 2 days) advance notice there will be no charge for cancellations but if it is less than 24 hours there will be a charge of 1 night stay per room. Day Hikes each day;

Friday – the Mount Cloud Trail.

Saturday – Tank Spring Trail, visit Hatfield Knob Elk Viewing tower to see Elk, and

Sunday – Tri-State Trail to the northernmost section of the Cumberland Trail.

Cumberland Gap area has numerous trails to choose from on the TN side or KY side of the line if you want to hike those on your own.
