Pop-Up Hike / Batey Farm and Woods

Approx 2 miles. Join us at 10 am to visit the lovely Batey Farm property that has been preserved for the purpose of creating a passive park for the city of Hendersonville. We will meet and park at the White barn on the property located at 119 East Dr., Hendersonville TN. From the barn we will walk a mowed path up along the treeline across the open field and into the wooded hillside and then up to the overlook for a gorgeous view. The trails are not fully developed yet so we will be walking on a mostly unimproved trail that has been mowed down, and had trees cut away but the path will have roots and small stumps. Members from the Friends of Indian Lake Peninsula non-profit that worked to save the property will lead us as we get this special treat to be able to walk the property before it has been fully transformed and open to the public.
