Saturday – Window Cliffs Trail, Window Cliffs State Natural Area, Baxter, TN

Window Cliff s is a 275-acre state natural area. It is managed by Burgess Falls State Park. Window Cliff s is a prominent geological clifftop feature that consists of a very narrow, elongated ridge that lies in the neck of an incised meander of Cane Creek. There are 18 creek crossings on this 5.4 mile out and back moderate, sometimes diff icult, hike. September should be a good time to catch the water low for the crossings. Bring water shoes just in case, lunch to eat on the cliff s and plenty of water. Don’t forget tick/bug spray and sunscreen. It’s a 45-minute drive. Depart 7:30 am CDST from Tractor Supply NE corner of parking lot in Crossville. If you choose to carpool, gas cost is $5.
