Wednesday –  Big Ridge State Park, Maynardville, TN – Indian Rock Trail.  Joint hike with Upper Cumberland Chapter

May 4, 2022 @ 7:30 am – 3:00 pm

Long hike: The park is on the South side of Norris Lake. We will combine several short trails (easy to strenuous) to get to Indian Rock and Sharps Station for total of 7.9 miles. Along the way we will see an old mill, cemeteries, sinkholes, and the site where settler Peter Graves was scalped.  Depart from Dorton UMC, 3405 Hwy 70 East, Crossville at 7:30am CDST.  Carpool is $7.00.  For additional information contact the hike coordinator, Deb Westervelt, email plateauhikes@tennesseetrails.org or text/call 931-267-2243.
