Walk in the Woods: Kirkstone Trail

May 5 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Distance: 2.0 miles (loop). Rating: Moderate

The Kirkstone Trail is a moderate trail and approximately a 2.0 mile loop hiking trail along gravel roads. The trailhead is at the junction of Marmaduke and Christopher a little way up the hill from the spillway on Lake Kirkstone. The route is marked with yellow stakes and directional arrows at road junctions.

The trailhead is on the right a short way along Marmaduke Drive just over the lake spillway.

MEET AT:  parking lot on Marmaduke close to the trailhead. (There is parking for at least four or five cars)

Bring water, bug spray, sunscreen and a snack.  Persons 18 and over, members and non-members welcome.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult.  Dogs must be leashed.  For more information contact hike coordinator, Sirka, email plateaulocalwalks@yahoo.com or text (404) 790-3945.
