Tennessee River Gorge Paddle

Sunday,June 23 – Tennessee River Gorge Paddle.  8 miles. Suck Creek Boat Ramp to Raccoon Mountain Boat Ramp, Marion County, TN.  Meet at the Suck Creek Boat Ramp, 1900 Suck Creek Road, Chattanooga, TN at 8:00 am CDT to arrange a vehicle shuttle to our takeout at Raccoon Mountain boat ramp.  Our voyage passes through Prentice Cooper State Forest.  We may see Bald Eagles, Osprey, turtles and otters.  Please register with Joan Hartvigsen, jhartvigs@comcast or 931-636-2914.  Bring a lot of water, snacks, lunch, binoculars, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.  Please wear your Personal Flotation Device (PFD).   Joint event with the Murfreesboro Chapter.  Directions to the Raccoon Mountain Boat Ramp:  Take Exit 174 off Interstate 24 East.  Turn left onto Cummings Highway (US Hwy 41).  Drive 2.6 miles then turn right onto Raccoon Mountain Road.  Drive 2 miles, then turn left into the parking lot.
