Friday, June 21 – Pogue Creek Canyon to Pickett State Park, Jamestown. 7 miles rated moderately strenuous for terrain, elevation change and length. Joint hike with the Highland Rim and Nashville chapters. This hike highlights varied geologic features that include rock houses, arches, mesas, and one of the most picturesque small lakes in the state. Our route includes the Mesa Top, Upper Canyon, Moccasin Rock, Ridge, and Lake trails. We will meet at Arch Lake in Pickett State Park to shuttle to the Pogue Creek Canyon trailhead. Bring snacks, plenty of water, and lunch. Wear footwear appropriate for rugged trail and hiking poles are recommended.
