Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Saturday, June 1 — Volunteer Day at Reflection Riding, 400 Garden Road, Chattanooga. June 1 is National Trails Day, and what better activity can we do this day than help spruce up Reflection Riding’s Nature Playscape area, which is especially designed to introduce children to the joys of exploring nature. Our tasks are easy and appropriate for almost everyone. Mainly it will involve widening a trail and spreading mulch. Since this project is funded in part by an Evan Means grant from the TTA, it is particularly fitting that members of the TTA join in implementing it. Thank you so much for supporting Reflection Riding on this special day!! Please check the weather forecast the day before, as earlier forecasts can change dramatically. Please bring gardening gloves, a refillable water bottle, along with rakes, loppers, and clippers, if available. Wear hiking shoes or boots; bring snacks and/or lunch, wear insect repellent and sunscreen, and bring a rain jacket if needed. Meet at the Reflection Riding parking lot at 8:30 am. Please register with volunteer leader Randy Medley, (423) 667-0975.
