If you wish to carpool to Beaman Park, we will plan to meet at 8:00 a.m. at Tollgate Medical Plaza (1106 Elliston Way, Thompson’s Station, TN). Otherwise we will meet at the Nature Center at Beaman Park at 9:00 a.m.
Our hike leaders are Frances & Greg Scott: gs1985@charter.net. They have hiked this area many times and have planned a moderate 3.0-3.5 mile hike. Please contact them and let them know where you will meet.
We will plan on having lunch after the hike.
Beaman Park (5911 Old Hickory Blvd, Ashland City, TN) is an environmental education and recreation facility of the Nashville Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation. The nature center is a place where people and nature come together.
NATURE CENTER:
Serves as a jump-off point for exploring more than 2300 acres of Nashville’s premier state natural area Beaman Park.
Offers a wide range of environmental education programs, school field trips, educator training workshops, outdoor recreation programs, and other special activities for people of all ages.
Is a natural history and education reference center for individuals and groups.
Promotes and exhibits Western Highland Rim native plant landscaping.
