Indian Rockhouse to Lawson Rock

Saturday, February 1 — Prentice Cooper: Indian Rockhouse to Lawson Rock, close to Signal Mountain TN, 6.4 miles in & out, moderate. Descending stone steps, we will find ourselves under a huge Rockhouse, then we will wind around rocky bluffs to the spectacular view of the Suck Creek gorge with the Tennessee River below. 

Check the weather forecast within a day of the hike, as earlier forecasts can change dramatically. Choose appropriate layers; wear hiking shoes or boots; bring snacks and/or lunch along with more water than you think you need; use insect repellent, hiking poles, sunscreen, and rain jacket as needed.
