Tennessee State Parks Hiking Trails
The Fran Wallas Hiked ’em All program honors the memory of Fran Wallas, attorney and trail advocate with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) and an active member of TTA for many years.
Fran loved to hike and authored a series of 36 articles for the Tennessee Conservationist magazine about her favorite hiking trails in Tennessee State Parks.
After her death, all of Fran’s articles were collected in the 2011 publication Great Hikes in Tennessee State Parks.
The Fran Wallas Hiked ’em All program also involves a patch and an achievement rocker to be worn under the patch.
- The Fran Wallas commemorative patch can be requested when you begin hiking the trails described in the book.
- Once all 36 hikes are completed, you can request the achievement rocker using the qualification form.

2021 marks the Tenth Anniversary of this program.
