Black Mountain trail offers a challenging hike through dense forest and up rugged terrain. As you ascend, the trail provides a mix of shaded sections and exposed ridges. Along the way and at the summit there are awesome rock features with caves, gulleys and passageways to explore. This hike is a great choice for those seeking a more strenuous hike with rewarding views at the end. Depart from the southeast parking lot of Central Baptist Church 1346 S. Main St. Crossville, TN at 7:30 am CST. Carpool cost is $2.00. Bring hiking poles, wear hiking/rain gear, bring plenty (electrolytes) water, lunch/snack. Don’t forget tick/bug spray and sunscreen.
