Wednesday, July 26th. Blue Hole Trail hike at 9:00 AM and Lost River Cave Boat Tour at 10:00 AM. On the Blue Hole Trail, you will see a powder house, a butterfly habitat, a historic trading post, and several blue holes which are underground rivers that have come to the surface. The trail is approximately 1.5 miles long, is rated easy to moderate, and is mostly shaded. Please bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, and perhaps a snack.
The boat tour will begin at 10:30 AM with arrival time no later than 10:00 AM. If you have previously registered and paid, your ticket has automatically changed to the July 26th date. If you still need to reserve tickets; go to www.lostrivercave.org choosing July 26th, 10:30 AM and pay $23.95 each per ticket. Choose quantity of tickets, add to cart, and give credit or debit card info ***It is recommended to get your tickets and reserve the time as soon as possible to make sure we are able to be a part of the same tour. The tour will last 45 minutes. You may want to bring a light jacket for the cave tour. Please text Shelia if you have signed up for the boat tour, she wants to keep a running total of how many are going. After the boat tour, we will go to lunch at Chaney’s Dairy Barn, 9191 Nashville Rd., (take a left from the Lost River Cave entrance and is about 10 minutes down the road on 31W). For those that want to carpool to the hike, the carpool will meet at Glenbrook Kroger about 7:45 AM and leave at 8:00 AM. Those who are only doing the cave boat tour, meet at Lost River Cave at 10:00 AM.
