CANCELLED. On our way to Burgess Falls we’ll hike a 1 mile section of the Sparta Greenway along the Calfkiller River. At Burgess Falls we’ll will hike the River and Ridge Top Trails 1.8 miles rated moderate that go past four waterfalls on the Falling Water River. There are beautiful views down the main canyon of the Falling Water River. Burgess Falls State Park is located near Cookeville. We’ll eat lunch at the Chestnut Oaks Farm Store & Kitchen. Bring (electrolytes) water and a snack. Don’t forget tick/bug spray and sunscreen. Persons 18 and over, members and non-members welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Depart 7:30 am CDST from outer parking lot of Harbor Freight, 145 Highland Square, Crossville, TN. Carpool cost is $5.
