Columbia/Franklin Quarterly Meeting

Meeting Location: Barnabas Center at 506 Fair Street, Franklin, TN 37064

Social hour begins at 6 pm with the meeting starting at 7 pm. Our program this quarter will be a report from Jackie Kelly who hiked the entire Natchez Trace, from Nashville, TN to Natchez, Mississippi. The Natchez Trace is a 444-mile recreational road and scenic drive through three states (TN, AL, MS). It roughly follows the “Old Natchez Trace,” a historic travel corridor used by American Indians, “Kaintucks,” European settlers, slave traders, soldiers, and future presidents. Today, people can enjoy a scenic drive as well as hiking, biking, horseback riding, and camping along the Parkway.  Jackie presents the trials and tribulations of someone who had a dream and followed thru with both perseverance and courage.  We hope that all our members (current and prospective) will join us at the quarterly meeting.

We will also discuss potential Winter hikes which will include our annual New Year’s Day hike at Preservation Park in Thompson’s Station. We would also like input on the proposed TTA Annual Meeting in 2025 in association with the Clarksville Chapter. Hope to see you then!!
