Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Trail Information:
1) Length of hike is 4 miles.
2) The hike is a rail to trail path on a wide asphalt path allowing side by side walking.
3) An easy hike, mostly flat. Total elevation ascent/descent for the four miles is 246 feet.
4) Hiking under a canopy of trees, some open areas, along the Cumberland River and other waterways, including some bridge walking.
5) We will be parking cars at both the beginning and the end of the hike conducting a shuttle service to get back to all of the cars.
6) Dogs are permitted, but they must be on a leash.
Lunch after the hike: Riverview Restaurant and Marina, 110 Old River Road, Ashland City. We will be having lunch along the Cumberland River.

Carpool Information: We need to meet up in Ashland City by 9:00 AM. This should allow us to be on the trail by 9:30 AM. We will leave from Tollgate Medical Center (1106 Elliston Way, Thompson’s Station) at 7:45 AM. The drive from Tollgate Medical Center to Ashland City is >= 60 minutes.
Meeting place in Ashland City: We will meet at the River Bluff Park in Ashland City at 9:00 AM. This park is located on Old Cumberland Street at the southwest quadrant of the intersection of Cumberland Street and Tennessee Waltz Bypass. From here we will drive to the trailhead which has no address. Type River Bluff Park, Ashland City TN on your GPS search. There are restrooms at this park.
