Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Join our group for a very scenic hike bordering between North Carolina and Tennessee. We’ll see 2 separate waterfalls on this trail. One will be Mouse Creek Falls and the other will be Midnight Hole. We should experience some dense lush forest and early settlement. Hugh boulders will line the Big Creek as we hike 10.5 miles round trip. The elevation is 1400 ft but remember this is an” in and out” trail so we can turn around at any point to lessen the mileage. This hike is rated strenuous. To carpool let’s meet at Cracker Barrel parking lot, Strawberry Plains exit off I-40 east at 9:00 am. We should arrive at the trailhead by 10:30 am. This hike will take most of the day, so please bring snacks, water and rain gear (just in case). Don’t forget to bring $$$ to carpool. Preregistration is advised.
