Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
This 6 mile hike is a very nice shuttle. We can start at the Greenbrier Ranger Station and hike along side the Injun Creek for approximately 3 miles. We will cross several tree truck bridges and even take excursions to a local family cemetery. Close to this point, we will spot the old wrecked steam engine in the water and campsite 32. We’ll connect to the Grapeyard Trail and again experience luscious forests and open streams. Our shuttle car will take us back to the Ranger Station where our cars await. This hike is rated very moderate with approximately 850’ elevation gain. Let’s meet at the Cracker Barrell parking area at Strawberry Plains exit off I-40 east at 9:00 am ET for carpooling. Don’t forget to bring $$$’s for carpooling approximately 1 hour to the trailhead. Pre-registration is advised. Contact Rosie at 865.985.9144 or rosemary_L@hotmail.com .
