Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Join our hikers on this historic adventure to the homestead of the Walker Sisters. There were 7 Sisters raised in this Little Greenbrier Cove but 6 actually stayed and made the cabin their forever home. They were very self-sufficient and were allowed to remain in their cabin until their deaths even after the park was designated. We will pass the Little Greenbier school house which was built by their father, John Walker. We will begin our hike at Metcalf Bottoms picnic area and the approximate mileage is 3 miles but some may wat to go a little further for a nice 5 mile hike in our great Smokies. Lets meet at 9:00 am in the parking area of Browns Creek Shopping Ctr in Maryville. We can park close to the Sonic and carpool to the Smokies. Please preregister with Rosie
