Ijams Nature Center, Camping and Rafting trip

Tuesday August 1st – 8 am Drive to Ijams Nature Center in Knoxville where we’ll hike a few miles of the trails. Drive one hour to Harford, TN to the Pigeon River Campground campinginthesmokymountains.com/reserve The campground has a swimming pool and offers tent sites for 6 people for $28. RV sites for $55 and small cabins that sleep 5 or 6 people for $90. Cabins have fridge and microwave, bring your own bed linen and no bathroom. Bathhouse is nearby. There is a 10% discount if booked by May 15th. Call 865-430-3838 or book online. Please make your own campsite reservation. Wednesday August 2d – Rafting with Big Creek Expeditions, Hartford, TN. You have the choice of whitewater rafting or raft float for estimated $36.95 per person. I’ll try to get reservations for 11 am Eastern Time.
