Marietta’s Chilly Chili Hike

Saturday, January 25 – Marietta Poteet’s Chilly Chili Hike.  Shakerag Hollow and Beckwith Point Trails Loop. About 3.5 miles.  Easy to Moderate.  Marietta Poteet will host the 25th annual Chilly Chili Hike.  We will be hiking the Shakerag Hollow on the Sewanee Perimeter Trail then return on the Beckwith Point Trail.  It will be about 3.5 miles.  There is a steep downhill at the beginning of the hike and a very short uphill at Greens View, otherwise it is pretty easy.  We will come to Marietta’s house in Clifftops for chili and fixin’s .  Marietta will have chili, brownies, wine, beer, and soft drinks.  Please let Marietta know if you will attend at nannietta@benlomand.net or 615-476-8087.  If you want to just meet at the house instead of hike, please let her know and she can give you the gate code.  Join us for good hiking, good eating. and great camaraderie.
