Monteagle Overnight Hiking Trip

April 29-30 – Stay one night at the Smokehouse Lodge, Monteagle, TN.  Drive to Monteagle on Tuesday, April 29 to hike and check into our rooms at the Smokehouse Lodge.  We will hike at least one trail on Tuesday and at least one trail on Wednesday before returning home.  The Smokehouse Lodge is close to the South Cumberland State Park where there are several beautiful trails to hike.  I plan for us to hike Fiery Gizzard Grundy Day Loop where the wildflowers are usually blooming and Great Stone Door.  Both hikes are approximately 2 miles.  I have booked a single room for myself at the Smokehouse Lodge for the night of April 29 for $64.25 total on Hotel.com.  Our group has stayed at the Smokehouse serval times over the years, and it is a clean, older hotel with a homey character.  Hotel.com will not charge the credit card until check in and the reservation can be canceled before 6 pm April 28.  You are responsible for your own reservation.  The trip depends on the weather.  Please let Marcia Powell know if you plan to go. Mpow1221@gmail.com.
