Two hikes close to each other totaling 6.4 miles. Old Stone Fort is an easy 3.4 mile loop featuring cascades, small waterfalls, and walk along the Native American stone fort that was used as a ceremonial gathering place, and a museum. Short Springs is a moderate 3 mile loop featuring Adams Falls, Busby Falls, and the majestic Machine Falls. Both trails have beautiful spring wildflowers. Depart from the Harbor Freight parking lot Crossville, TN. at 7:30 a.m CST. Carpool cost is $8.00. Bring hiking poles, wear hiking/rain gear, bring plenty of (electrolytes) water, lunch/snack. Don’t forget tick/bug spray and sunscreen. People age 18 and over, members and non-members welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
