Tuesday, 10/28 hike is still in the planning stage but will be a 4- or 6-mile loop in Natural Bridge State Park combining several trails to see features and hike up on the bridge arch and a trail that looks back at the arch before continuing the loop. The hike is moderate with 697 ft elevation gain.
Wednesday, 10/29 hike is Double Arch, Courthouse Rock and Auxier Ridge Loop in the Red River Gorge. It is a moderate 6-mile loop with 1066 ft elevation gain featuring views, Courthouse Rock, and Double Arch with a mile on a gravel road to get back to the cars.
Thursday, 10/29 will be 2 short hikes before we drive back. The first hike is an easy .7-mile Skybridge loop where you walk across the bridge with views of the gorge and then down below it on your way back. The 2nd hike is an easy 1.4-mile Rock Bridge trail at the end of a 3-mile gravel road. This hike features views of Red River Gorge, Rock Bridge arch, and Creation Falls waterfall.
