Short Springs Wildflower and Waterfalls Hike with Randy Hedgepath

Thursday, April 17 – Short Springs SNA Wildflower and Waterfalls Hike with Retired Tennessee State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath, Tullahoma, TN.  About 5 miles, moderate.  Our hike leader, Margie Schumacher, will take us on all the trails:  Busby Falls Trail, Laurel Bluff Trail, Machine Falls Trail, Wildflower Loop, Adams Falls Loop.  Bring water and lunch. Bring hiking sticks and wear hiking boots.   Meet at the trailhead, 21 Powell Road, Tullahoma, at 9 am.  Please register with Margie, 352-442-8949 or rs2msps@yahoo.com.  Short Springs State Natural Area is one of the very best spring wildflower locations in the state.  Large Flowered Trillium and Southern Red Trillium along with many other beautiful wildflowers cover the slopes.  Machine Falls and Upper and Lower Busby Falls on Bobo Creek are awesome.
