Take Dad On a Hike

Sunday, June 16  – Bridal Veil Falls, Sewanee, TN.   Take Dad on a Hike.  5 miles, moderate. Some sections are steep and rocky.  Meet at the Memorial Cross on the Sewanee Domain at 1 pm CDT.  Bring water and a snack.  Wear sturdy hiking boots or shoes.  Trekking poles are recommended.  We will begin our hike on the Sewanee Perimeter Trail beginning from the Memorial Cross. The newer section of the Perimeter Trail bypasses Procter Hall through a dense forest and below limestone bluffs.  After we visit Bridal Veil Falls, we will take a secondary trail which intersects the Perimeter Trail northwest of Otey View.  On our journey back to the Memorial Cross we will enjoy views at Otey View and Clara’s Point.  Register with Joan Hartvigsen, jhartvigs@comcast.net or 931-636-2914.
