Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Thursday, February 20 – 9 AM Central – Ray Branch Shoreline Trail and Evans Loop, Tim’s Ford State Park, Winchester, TN. 9 miles, 728 feet in elevation changes rated moderate due to some uneven and rocky terrain. The trail mostly follows the shoreline of Tim’s Ford Lake around the numerous inlets of convoluted Ray Branch, so in winter with leaves down there are plenty of water views. We’ll stop for lunch at the Evans Backcountry Campsite along the shore, then head around the point on Evans Loop to re-join the Ray Branch trail and head back. Bring lunch, water, sturdy hiking boots and poles. We will meet at the trailhead behind Marble Plains Baptist Church, 525 Marble Plains Road, Winchester, TN.
