Tims Ford Outing

September 14 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Saturday, September 14 – Lost Creek Overlook Trail, Evans Loop and a section of  Ray Branch Trail; Ice Cream Social and Refreshing Swim.  Tims Ford State Park, Winchester, TN.  About 6 miles, easy to moderate.  Register with Joan Hartvigsen, jhartvigs@comcast.net or 931-636-2914.  Bring water and lunch.  You will need hiking shoes and hiking sticks and clothes to swim in.   We will enjoy awesome views of beautiful Tims Ford Lake at several overlooks.  We will walk above the treetops on two large suspension bridges.  We will hike through beautiful mature forests over rolling hills.  Our Ice Cream Social will take place on picnic tables overlooking the lake at Lakeview Marina. Our lovely swimming spot is located at the end of the short Story Book Trail. Meet at 9am in the Visitor Center parking lot.
