Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Saturday, May 11 — Volunteer workday on the Cumberland Trail, our quarterly commitment to trail work in our area. Add your name to the long list of devoted members who have put their time and effort into the completion of the Cumberland Trail. We will be finishing the tread of part of the newest addition of the CT, which connects Highway 30 north of Dayton to Morgan Creek in the Laurel-Snow SNA. The work will be moderate on a steep slope. Register at https://form.jotform.com/231134354561045. The CT Crew will provide tools, with volunteers bringing work gloves, lots of water, insect spray, long pants and hiking shoes or boots. Check the weather forecast and choose appropriate layers; gather up hiking poles, rain jacket, and sunscreen as needed. Meet for carpooling at 8:30 am ET at the Durham Street parking lot (ball fields) off Dayton Pike in Soddy-Daisy. https://bit.ly/3Qjdc0S Alternatively, meet the CT trail crew at 9:00 am ET at the Dayton Welcome Center, 107 Main Street, Dayton, Tennessee 37321.
