Promoting the development and enjoyment of Tennessee trails.
Joint hike with Upper Cumberland chapter. This is a 6 mi moderately strenuous hike due to ladders/stairs and the continual climb from Charit Creek. On the Twin Arches loop we will walk over and under two magnificent arches that may be the largest in the Eastern U.S. We will pass through several huge rock houses along the bases of cliffs and visit the remains of a mid-1800’s house and farm. Charit Creek Lodge (only guests can visit now) is at the bottom of the loop. Depart 7:30 a.m. CST from Cracker Barrel 23 Executive Dr. Crossville, TN. Carpool gas cost is $7. Bring hiking poles, wear hiking/rain gear, bring plenty (electrolytes) water, lunch/snack. Don’t forget tick/bug spray and sunscreen. People age 18 and over, members and non-members welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. For additional information, contact the hike leader Kristi via text/call 541-223-8550
