Will Latham playing the injured hiker in the Scenic City first aid class.
Our program speaker is TTA Scenic City Chapter Chair, Will Latham. About a year ago, the Scenic City Chapter hosted a 2-day professionally led trail safety and first aid course with a CPR certification option. While many topics in this program were targeted toward TTA hike leaders, the knowledge and training can be critical for any of us, even if we just take a short hike with a friend. Will Latham will present an overview of this interactive and engaging course, including suggestions that our Highland Rim Chapter can use in planning to offer this program, not only to our local members, but any interested TTA members and the community.
Before the meeting, at 5:30 pm, we will meet for dinner at La Fiesta Bar & Grill, 1410 N. Jackson Street, Tullahoma next to the Quality Inn. Please contact Highland Rim Chapter Chair Patty Deen if you plan to attend dinner so I can confirm the number for our reservation. Contact Patty at pdeen@palomar.edu or 760-703-8115 for more information.
