“Here at Middle Tennessee Raptor Center, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Tennessee Corporation created by the Russell family in Tullahoma, Tennessee. We are dedicated to the conservation and preservation of raptors, also known as birds of prey. MTRC is licensed, permitted, and inspected by both the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. We operate from our private residence currently and are working towards expanding into a public facility where wildlife lovers of all ages can come and have their own experiences with these amazing birds in a beautiful, Middle Tennessee setting. Our plans will include an interactive visitors center, walking trails, state-of-the-art raptor enclosures (called mews), daily education programs, a birds-of-prey flying experience area, a primitive camping area for youth groups and scouts, and a level I arboretum of native Tennessee tree species.”
